Compensation
 

Incyte provides a competitive and comprehensive compensation package, which includes both short-term and long-term rewards for performance. Our pay for performance philosophy is encourages managers to make compensation decisions that differentiate individuals based on their contributions to individual and corporate goals.

 
 

Base Compensation
With Incyte employee base salaries typically at or above the median for the Biotechnology/Pharma industry, we realize that a competitive base salary is important to attract and retain the talent needed for our success. Each salary level depends on the job characteristics, market competitiveness as well as the skills of each employee. Annual merit increases are awarded based on contributions made during the calendar year and increases to base salary are also available through promotions and equity adjustments.

Variable Compensation
Incyte has two variable compensation plans – our Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) and our Long-Term Incentive Plan (Stock Options). All employees who meet the hire date and minimum work hours/week requirements are eligible to participate in both plans. The ICP plan is an annual cash incentive plan with awards determined by both performance versus corporate and personal goals. Annual stock options are reflective of option targets based on job category and individual performance.

All new hires are also granted new hire stock options as an incentive to join Incyte.

Rewards & Recognition

Referrals: The employee referral program awards a cash bonus of $1,000 for Non-Exempt positions and $2,000 for all others. The referred applicant must be an employee for 90 days before receiving the bonus.

Spot Bonuses: Manager’s can give out "Spot Bonuses" based on their discretion to anyone in their group for a job well done. This can include non-monetary awards as well as cash bonuses up to $5,000.
