| Incyte and Gene Logic Settle Patent Infringement
Lawsuit
PALO ALTO, Calif. & GAITHERSBURG, Md.-January 10, 2001-Incyte
Genomics, Inc. (Nasdaq: INCY) and Gene Logic Inc. (Nasdaq: GLGC),
announced today a litigation settlement related to patent infringement
lawsuits filed by Incyte against Gene Logic in the United States District
Court for the Northern District of California alleging infringement
of U.S. Patent Numbers 5,716,785, 5,891,636 and 6,023,659. Under the
settlement, the lawsuits will be dismissed and Gene Logic will have
a nonexclusive license to practice the technology described
in these patents. In accordance with the terms of the settlement agreement,
specific settlement and financial terms were not disclosed.
