Incyte Genomics and Genomic Health Announce Collaboration

Palo Alto, CA, May 7, 2001 - Incyte Genomics, Inc. (Nasdaq: INCY) and Genomic Health, Inc., today announced a collaboration that will utilize Incyte's industry-leading platform of genomic and proteomic databases, functional genomic technologies, and intellectual property.

Through this collaboration, Genomic Health will have access to Incyte's LifeSeq® Gold and BioKnowledge™ databases. In addition, Genomic Health will receive licenses to certain of Incyte's intellectual property and will fund a research and development collaboration with Incyte to develop new consumer applications for genomics. The Incyte databases and intellectual property will be used to facilitate Genomic Health's development of products. Although financial terms were not disclosed, amounts paid by Genomic Health under the collaboration agreements are similar to those paid in other unrelated third party agreements. Incyte also participated in the latest round of financing of Genomic Health.

Genomic Health, Inc., located in Palo Alto, CA, is new venture founded by Randy Scott (co-founder of Incyte Genomics), Joffre Baker (Genentech), Steven Shak (Genentech), Gene Early (The Beracah Group Ltd.), and Patrick Terry (PXE International). Investors include Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Versant Ventures; Baker Tisch Investments, and CHL Medical Partners along with Incyte.
