Incyte Genomics Announces the Opening of Its Japanese Subsidiary

Palo Alto, CA, and Tokyo, Japan, October 15, 2001 - Incyte Genomics, Inc (Nasdaq: INCY), the leading genomics information company, announced today the official opening of its office in Tokyo, Japan will take place on October 16, 2001.

Incyte provides genomics technologies and products that support pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology firms and academic institutions in their search for better and faster prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. The company has developed an international network of collaborators, including several key Japanese pharmaceutical companies.

Incyte Genomics LifeSeq® Gold database provides researchers with a comprehensive view of the entire human genome by integrating proprietary expressed sequence tag (EST) and full-length gene sequence information and mapping data, in addition to public genomic sequence information.
